Frequently asked questions

For agents

See our plans
Can I change plans?

You can change your plan at your annual broker meetup.

What software do we use?

DotLoop is included for every agent, along with Forewarn. Follow Up Boss is available as an optional CRM at the agent’s cost.

Is there a referral bonus?

Yes. Earn a $250 sign-on referral bonus, paid at your recruit’s first closing, plus 10% of the company dollar (the brokerage’s share) from them. The recruiting reward, including the bonus and any ongoing share, ends at 12 months or when your recruit reaches the $16k cap, whichever comes first.

Can I be part-time?

You choose the life you want, we just want to be a part of it.

Do we have team meetings?

Broker meetings are once a month, and we have several events planned. Team leaders hold their own meetings.

Can I pay the monthly fee all at once?

Yes, as long as you have a deal in escrow during your first 30 days on the plan.

Do you provide E&O?

Yes. The brokerage carries E&O coverage on every transaction, and it’s included in your $150 broker fee.

Can we do flat rate fees?

Yes, let’s chat about how these will work depending on your commission plan.

What about personal deals?

You get up to 3 personal deals a year with no split, just a $550 flat fee per deal, and they must be logged in DotLoop. Family deals don’t count as personal deals.

What are my options to sell?

One call, multiple options: list with Katelyn, take an as-is cash offer, or compare a novation, subject-to, seller finance or wholesale. We’ll walk through them with you side by side.

Do you buy houses for cash?

Katelyn is a cash home buyer. Whether a cash offer makes sense depends on the home and your goals; we’ll talk it through honestly.

What is a subject-to or novation sale?

In a subject-to sale, Katelyn buys your home subject to your existing mortgage, which stays in place instead of being paid off at closing. In a novation (Higher Price, Paid After Renovation), you agree to a set contract price and keep title while Katelyn renovates at her own cost and manages all the work. You pay nothing for repairs, and when the home sells you receive the full contract price at closing through a title company. Both have trade-offs, and we’ll explain them plainly next to an as-is cash offer (about a 2-week close, closing costs paid by Katelyn).

Is there any obligation if I ask for options?

No. Asking is free and doesn’t commit you to anything.
